STAND UP ON EVEREST

OEMag 07.10.2016

On the 16th April 2016, Mount Everest Base Camp played host to “Stand up on Everest”, where 4 comedians, Martin Mor, Wayne Deakin, Mickey D& Tom Wrigglesworth attempted and broke the Guiness World Record for Highest Comedy Show.

At 5365m above sea level, it was one of the most unique adventures to date. Martin Mor, Tom Wrigglesworth, Mickey D and Wayne Deakin were joined by up to fifty eager fans on a gruelling nine day trek high into the Nepal Himalaya.

Once they reached Base Camp they performed on a purpose built stage to their fellow trekkers and any climbers awaiting their turn to summit the World’s highest mountain. Designed as a TV documentary, for One Tribe TV the project raised funds for “Save The Children” foundation which provides children a better start in life.
