For the first time, Red Bull Defiance is taking over Mission Beach in Queensland from Aug 31 – Sep 1.
The course is raw and remote, designed as an extreme test of endurance, speed and skill as teams defy the odds traveling from rainforest to reef.
For the first time in 2019 Red Bull Defiance comes to Mission Beach, North Queensland, Australia. Building on the five year legacy from Red Bull Defiance in Wanaka, New Zealand, this one of a kind adventure race covers unique ‘rainforest to reef’ terrain in the tropical cassowary coast region.
Red Bull Defiance is an event that attracts many of the world’s best endurance athletes. Inspired by Braden Currie, New Zealand’s foremost triathlete and multisport racer, the courses have been designed to test athletes over two extremely challenging days, racing alongside the worlds best multisport and endurance athletes. Each day involves multiple race disciplines, taking competitors through awe-inspiring terrain and scenery. Red Bull Defiance challenges all athletes mentally and physically.
