#NEWS #SNOWREPORT2016

Although the 2016 Ski Season started off a little ‘snow’ the outlook is good after the east coast Antarctic blast that hit us over the last week. With a second cold front predicted later in the week and snowfalls expected as far north as Queensland, the 30cm-60cm of snow that has fallen at Australia’s resorts over the last week could double by the weekend.

Perisher has recorded 71cm of snow in the last 7 days, and along with their 207 active snow guns, there’s definitely life in the hills. They had 16 lifts operating over the weekend.
Thredbo’s snow sits at was 60cm at the top of the mountain, 40cm around Anton’s and 20cm in the village, and had fresh snow right across the mountain from top to bottom over the weekend. 7 of their 14 lifts were operating on the weekend, and this week’s snowfall should help that along a bit.
With decent recorded snow falls across all resorts, 2016 snow season is definitely underway.
