UCI Mountain Bike World Championships Cairns Kicks Off

The 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships Cairns will see the world’s best cross country and downhill riders hit Tropical North Queensland to compete for the titles at Smithfield Conservation Park, James Cook University.

The 2017 event starting this week will feature over 300 riders from 35 countries competing in the cross-country (XCO) and Downhill (DHI) disciplines. Following the success of the 2016 UCI World Cup, this event is bigger, more spectacular and will see the best riders in the world in Cairns, broadcast to 6.13 million globally across 18 different nations.

Mountain bike and sports fans alike from all over Australia and the world will be able to take part in the event with a festival like experience at Smithfield Park, catering to all ages with non stop entertainment, on and off the rainforest.
