Women’s Adventure Film Tour 2019

Women’s Adventure Film Tour is celebration of the inspiring women in our lives and all around us who achieve extraordinary things all in the name of adventure.

Women’s Adventure Film Tour is held as a part of Australia’s Women’s Health Week every year, showcase real stories about real women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world. These are unique films which are carefully chosen to show off awesome women achieving adventurous goals.

Being adventurous doesn’t always mean the fastest, the highest, or the most extreme. Adventure is about stepping outside our comfort zone and climbing our own personal Mount Everest.

The original Film Tour was a world first, launching in May 2017 to a sell-out crowd in Sydney. The films shown in the first year were sourced from the Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, Colorado. As the tour grew, we began sourcing and developing our own content directly with filmmakers.

In 2018 alone, we ran more than 550 screenings worldwide, throughout the US, the UK, and Asia, with over 55 events held across Australia & New Zealand alone. The films at each location are tailored to suit the local audience while showcasing the adventurous lifestyle options from around the area.

Created by Adventure Entertainment in a partnership with She Went Wild, the Women’s Adventure Film Tour has grown to become a success around the globe. Our aim is to make the Women’s Adventure Film Tour available to be enjoyed by women, children, and men of all ages and cultures.

Now in our third year of operation, Adventure Film Tours is expanding rapidly with distribution of high-quality outdoor adventure films in Australia, New Zealand, as well as overseas. Adventure Film Tours produce a series of annual film tours such as Mountainfilm on Tour (Australia and New Zealand), European Outdoor Film Tour (Australia and New Zealand), International Ocean Film Tour (Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong), as well as distributing feature length adventure films such as The Dawn Wall from Red Bull Media House.

She Went Wild’s mission is to connect, educate, and inspire women from all walks of life to have an adventurous outdoor lifestyle. We do this through digitally publishing practical content, coordinating educational activity workshops, and creating events that connect like-minded women to each other and the adventurous outdoors. In addition to co-hosting the Women’s Adventure Film Tour, we also produce have been producing the Women’s Adventure Expo since 2016, which is the first of its kind. Over 53,000 people have already joined our movement and we would love for you to be a part of it.
