Looking for a great tent that does a good job without a ridiculous price-tag. Well I certainly found one on my Solomon Islands adventure.
The Companion Pro Hiker 1 combines practical features with great value: perfect for hiking, cycle touring and camping.
Construction of the tent ensures that it will survive the abuse that adventurers regularity put their gear through. The fly is made of “Ripstop” polyeste, the floor of slightly thicker polyester, and the inner of fine mesh to keep the bugs out.
The tent is compact enough to take up minimal space and handles all that the weather can throw at you, from sunny to wet weather. Just don’t use it in the snow... oh and did I mention the overall weight of only 2.3kg!
Set-up Quick and simple to set up I was able to have it done in 4 minutes with a little practice. Just be sure that the fly is always nice and taut, otherwise, condensation will drip down and wet the inner mesh, and you!
Space for you and your gear I am 6’3 and found the headroom more than adequate giving it a spacious and airy feel, not claustrophobic, with ample storage room at the end of the tent for a backpack.
Included accessories A compression bag, small repair kit containing patches, glue, rope and pole-repairer, and a set of lightweight aluminium poles and pegs complete the package.
